Marilyn Morris CAS is an ADR and original dialogue mixer who is passionate about creating a welcoming studio environment. She enjoys the intersection of technology, creativity, and sociability in her recording sessions, and she appreciates the subtle art of ADR.

Originally from Santa Cruz, Marilyn moved to Los Angeles and graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She specialized in ADR, original dialogue, and voiceover recording at Bell Sound Studios, where she worked her way from dub room technician to associate chief engineer.

Marilyn worked at Skywalker Sound as a mix technician and editorial assistant alongside some of the top ears in the business. She contributed to major franchises including Star Wars, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Pixar.

She brought her expertise in ADR and loop group sessions to Waterman Sound as their dedicated ADR/original dialogue mixer. She received two Cinema Audio Society Award nominations for her work on Ted Lasso and Cobra Kai.

Marilyn was then recruited by Netflix Animation as one of their inaugural in-house recording mixers. She contributed to the design of the new studios, performed user testing for their technology and workflows, and implemented standard recording practices for each show.

In her spare time Marilyn enjoys playing board games with friends, visiting breweries with her husband, taking her daughter and dog on adventures around LA, and watching movies and TV shows on her home Dolby Atmos system.
